This being my second office, I will say I enjoyed working with Troy much more than I did with my previous architect. For the past few years, my husband and I have had the opportunity to work with Bold Design Inc on our dream home.
Troy was referred to us by our builder. Troy came to us prior to construction and assisted us with reviewing previously developed floor plans and programming needs to ensure our home met our expectations. Troy’s unique experience assisted us in creating a one of a kind home in Edmonton.
What was important to us was that our designer had the ability to listen to us and work with us at times that we may have had a vision already in our head. I was exciting to start planning my new office in a brand new building. There were endless possibilities given the clean slate I was starting with but I didn’t really have idea of where to go from there.
I was referred by some colleagues to Troy at Bold Design. We met and I explained to him I knew what design features I like and which ones I don't, but I didn’t know what I wanted or where to start in designing a Dental Office. Troy was excellent at determining what my “Style” or vision was for the clinic without me actually being able to tell him what that was. We spent time at the beginning going through pictures of various professional offices, design features, finishes and accents to build that picture but I believe he was very intuitive in capturing what I found attractive. I felt comfortable after that entrusting with a lot of creative freedom in building the beautiful office that it became to be. That being said, every decision made was thoroughly discussed with myself to make sure we were sticking to what I wanted. He was attentive and respectful with regards to the total budget of the project and where I wanted to focus more on within the design. I always felt at ease talking to Troy about any aspect the design.
I believe one of the most impressive aspects of working with Troy was his endless knowledge of building products and finishes. It was very evident that he spends a lot of time researching products. I was confident that the things we were selecting for my office were of quality and unique. His knowledge also went beyond what products were available; he also had a good understanding on how the trade’s people actually have to get the job done. It was very reassuring to see he understood the product beyond how nice it looked. I can’t thank Troy at Bold Design enough for helping me create the new home of College Park Dental.
