When Hearing Care Clinic decided to relocate their existing location into a new smaller location, they reached out to Bold Interior Design Inc. From the initial concept meeting to with the Client, we knew this would be no ordinary hearing care store. Downsizing into the new store with thirty-three percent less space was the first challenge. Working with the Client we reprogrammed all aspects of their layout to ensure proper function and flow. Then came aesthetic. As many of the Client’s patrons are visiting from their home, we wanted the overall fit and finish to have a residential feeling. For many, coming to a clinic such as this can be overwhelming and frightening as they may have hearing loss. So we introduced simple inviting elements such as a calming palette of blue/green, off white and clear finished white oak. The reception desk has a CNC cut “welcome” sign fit into the top of the desk to ensure patrons know that this place is here to help them. To help provide architectural detailing and patron privacy, a custom white oak dowel screen was added to the front of the store instead of traditional glass. Large format replica marble tiles adorn the grille pocket while more white oak was added to the entry canopy for both design and function to hold the sign. This is truly one inviting store.
