Early in 2024 we were engaged by All Pro Construction to work on a design-build project for Invicta Performance.

Invicta Performance is a unique wellness offering in Beljan Development's 124 Westmount project where Chiropractic, RMT, Psychology, Physiotherapy and Personal Fitness training are rolled into one, cohesive approach to wellness. As this was a new brand, we urged the client to also engage a branding designer to help ensure that the built environment and virtual branded environment were unified. By doing so, we ensure the concept is seamless from what you see in person to what you see online.

Some of the programming drivers were to create a unique facility that had both private and public areas that would lend well to various professional services. Flexibility was key and as such various flex rooms were provided. Through the coordination with the brand company, the design evolved to bring in elements of Latin phrases and the sense of strength through roman characters and roman numerals. A colour was selected to be neutral, timeless, elegant and luxurious. Hues of off-white, greys, browns and the coppers and brass came into play.

As you enter the facility, you are greeted with a feature wall of larger scaled vertical slats that help convey strong wood members and strength in size. We worked closely with local artisans to create a unique feature of liquid metal that was used both on the wall as well as cladding on the welcome desk. Hand applied and trowelled with brushes softens the feel of this metal finish and creates a beautiful piece of art that moves from desk to wall.

Natural light floods the space from the east and west in the open physiotherapy, training and chiropractic areas. Soft gradient fabric helps segregate individual treatment zones from the more open working floor finished in both black rubber and black artificial turf.
